Summary

After learning about the five ICR tools in our EDT class, I chose to reflect on three specific tools: ICT as an informative tool, ICT as a communicative tool ad ICT as a constructive tool. Each of these tools plays a vital role in enhancing both teaching and learning experiences,

Firstly. I reflected on ICT as an informative tool, which is mainly used to provide and access information. In this post, I explained how ICT serves as a source of knowledge by enabling learners and educators to access a wide range of materials, for example, I mentioned Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which is a platform that allows members to share posts, notes and important information easily. To support this concept further, I created a short video blog of 2 to 3 minutes long where I uses Google as an example. Google offers quick and easy access to information on almost any topic, making it a powerful informative tool.

Secondly, I explored ICT as communicative tool, this tool helps users interact and exchange ideas, thoughts, and feedback in real-time or asynchronously. In this reflection I focused on how communication through ICT has become more accessible and effective. For instance, I highlighted Telegram, a widely used messaging app that serves multiple purposes, including educational communication. Students and teachers can form groups, share updates, and send educational content, making teaching and learning more collaborative and interactive.

Lastly I reflected on ICT as a constructive tool, which supports learners in constructing their own understanding and knowledge. In this context, I introduced Camtasia Studio 8, a tool that helps in creating instructional videos, a screen recordings, and tutorials. This tool enables both teachers and students to produce content, thereby engaging in active learning and content creation.

Overall, reflecting on these three ICT tools has depend my understanding of how technology shares our educational practices. I now have clearer picture of how different tools support different aspects of learning and how they bring comfort, convenience, and efficiency to our daily lives.
